The Fast Charge California Project is a state-funded incentive program under CALeVIP.   • Tribal Affiliation: You must have federal or state-recognized Tribal affiliation.

  • Location: Projects must be located at ready-to-build sites in California.

  • Community Priority: Tribal, disadvantaged, and low-income communities receive priority in the application process.

When you apply for funding, here’s what you can expect:


  • Award Cap: The program offers an award cap of $55,000 per port for chargers with an output of 150 kW to 274.99 kW. For chargers with an output of 275 kW or greater, the cap is $100,000 per port.

  • Cost Share: There is no cost-sharing requirement.

  • Project Timeline: The expected project timeline is 1 year and 3 months.
