California Food Company Commits To Long Term Energy Savings Plan
The California Natural Products Corporation is a company that committed to a long term reduction in it’s electricity cost by contracting with CEC to provide a turnkey on-site Cogeneration facility. The overall goal of ownership at CNP was to reduce its cost of electricity and gas consumption.
CEC provided complete design, permitting, construction and startup services for the Cogeneration facility. CNP provided a space 17’×35’ for this plant to be located. All equipment then was designed for and installed in the exiting space, including engine / generator, switch gear, boiler, dump radiator, process piping and tanks as well as exhaust piping and SCR.
This project was also one of the first to receive a Self Generation Incentive Program rebate check. The paper work and all follow up correspondence were provided by CEC through to completion and issuance of the rebate.
Upon successful startup and initial operations of the plant, CEC then entered a long term contract with CNP to provide turnkey asset management. CEC provided their own Deutz factory trained staff to operate and maintain the prime mover and all balance of plant for fixed price per kilowatt.
