Hybrid

Combined Heat & Power Plant For Bottling Water In The Desert

CEC contracted with Nestle Waters North America to construct a 5 MW Cogeneration plant. The 5 MW Cogeneration facility was designed to operate as a base load electric generation plant in parallel with the utility and to produce 900 tons of 42 degree chilled water for the process cooling water and HVAC system. The plant also was designed to operate instantaneously in island mode.

This project began construction in December 2003 and was commissioned in June 2004. CEC provided 24 hour per day asset management with our onsite Jenbacher factory trained technicians and remote monitoring.

CEC operations personnel monitored the plant output, thermal output, utility input, and facility needs around the clock. Our team also performed all planned and emergency maintenance to the plant’s prime movers and all balance of plant equipment.
