Colusa Indian Energy was honored to participate in the Port of Quincy’s Town Hall Meeting on the Columbia Basin Power Project, held February 12 in Quincy, Washington. The meeting brought together community members, business leaders, and regional stakeholders for an open discussion on the future of energy reliability and economic growth across Central Washington.

During the Town Hall, Colusa Indian Energy presented project information, shared development insights, and provided attendees with a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) resource to help address key topics and community considerations.  


“We were encouraged by the turnout and the quality of the conversation throughout the evening,” said Colusa Indian Energy COO Kenneth Ahmann. “People showed up engaged, asked thoughtful questions, and leaned into a meaningful discussion about energy reliability, economic growth, and what the future looks like for Central Washington.” 


The Columbia Basin Power Project is being evaluated as a regional energy solution designed to support existing and future industrial electricity needs while helping address current capacity constraints impacting growth in the region.  


The discussion included a robust Q&A session, reinforcing the importance of transparency, collaboration, and local insight as the project advances through evaluation and planning phases. 



“Community participation is essential to shaping responsible, forward-looking energy infrastructure,” added Ahmann. “We appreciate the engagement and look forward to continuing the conversation as the project progresses.”
