TYPE OF PROGRAM
The NEVI Formula Program is a federal funding program that helps to install standardized, publicly accessible DC fast chargers along major highway corridors to support reliable long-distance EV travel and reduce emissions.

Administered by the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) and the California Energy Commission (CEC).
WHAT CAN YOU USE IT FOR?
Installing high-powered DC fast chargers
Upgrading existing charging sites
Supporting site preparation
Equipment and hardware costs including chargers, networking and software for station management
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
California Tribal Organizations serving California Native American Tribes
Private entities except investor-owned utilities
